1+2 Language Learning
Today’s children are growing up in a multilingual world and the ability to communicate effectively in social, academic and commercial settings is crucial if they are to play their full part as global citizens. At Tollcross Primary pupils have the opportunity to learn Spanish, Gaelic and French. We have support from Native speakers both from the VLA programme at Edinburgh University, Erasmus students and links with a University in Madrid who place Spanish student teachers with us. Many of our staff have completed training in delivering languages at Tollcross in Edinburgh and Madrid.
