James Gillespies’s High School – Dress Code Survey
As you will be aware James Gillespie’s High School recently moved into the new and wonderful new Malala building. We are due to move into the Spark Building and the Liddell Building in August 2016 which represents an exciting time in our school’s history.
It has been a few years since JGHS made an update to its school dress code and we view the move into our new Campus in August 2016 as the ideal time to update our dress code following consultation.
Staff and pupils in JGHS have been surveyed over the past couple of weeks and we would very much like to hear from parents within the James Gillespie’s community. All parents with pupils from P5 upwards in an associated primary and up to S6 in JGHS will have the opportunity to complete a survey and also provide comments if they wish.
The online survey can be accessed here: JGHS Dress Code – Parental Survey
The current Dress Code arrangement is on our school website.
Vote Section: You will be given four broad choices as vote options as follows:
Option 1: No change to dress code
Option 2: Uniform – polo shirt and sweatshirt
Option 3: Uniform – Blazer and tie
Option 4: No preference
Comment section: Once you have selected your option you will be forwarded to ‘free-text’ comments section. This is the place to mention any caveats or suggestions you have regarding the finer details within your choice and also allows you to share thoughts on the other options as you see fit.
Once you have completed the vote and comments box (or if you do not wish to comment) simply press submit.
This survey will remain active until Thursday 13 August 2015. Any forms submitted after that date will not be counted.
If you have any queries about the technical use of the survey please email Eilidh.firstname.lastname@example.org. (Please note only votes and comments about dress code that are submitted through the online survey will be counted. Comments and votes cannot be sent by email).
The data gathered will be read and analysed by Mr Macdonald (Headteacher) and his senior team early next session and following discussion with both the Pupil and Parent Councils the final decision on James Gillespie’s Pupil Dress Code (commencing August 2016) will be shared with you by the October break.
Many thanks for your time and support with this survey and for your ongoing involvement in our thriving school community.
Ms Eilidh Grant (on behalf of the Dress Code Review Team)
