Summer of Sport: 6 Month Free Swim Pass

This summer as part of SportScotland’s Summer of Sport, we’re giving children and young people aged 5–15 six months of free casual swimming sessions access at Edinburgh Leisure with proof of parent/guardians’ receipt of Universal Credit. It’s a great way to build confidence in the water, cool down and have fun over the holidays. 

Eligibility 

To get this offer, participants must meet all the points below: 

• The child/young person attending the casual swimming sessions must be aged 5 to 15
• The parent/guardian must receive Universal Credit and be able to show a payment breakdown dated within the last 2 months
• The parent/guardian must live in the City of Edinburgh and live in one of the following postcode areas: EH1 to EH17, EH28 to EH30, special codes EH77, EH91, EH95 and EH99 

Please note that parents and guardians do not need to be active Edinburgh Leisure members or cardholders to access this offer.

The passes are valid for six months from the date they are processed on site. This means they will provide access throughout the remainder of the summer holidays, the October break and the Christmas holidays if participants sign up soon. Passes can also be used during term time, not just during school holidays.

How customers can access the offer 

1. Visit your local Edinburgh Leisure venue. 
2. Bring proof that the parent/guardian gets Universal Credit. The proof must be dated within the last two months. The child and the parent or guardian must both be there when they sign up. 
3. If the customer is eligible and passes are still available, staff will help them register for the free 6-month casual swimming pass. 
4. Users can check their nearest pool’s timetables for a casual swimming session, then check in at reception with their pass and jump in! Please note, children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult according to our adult-child safe swimming ratios, and the adult(s) accompanying the child is not included in the pass. There has been laughter, tears, rain, sun, mud and little bit of sleep. What a brilliant week. Mr Downie, Ms Steel and Ms Chadwick are so proud of all the P7s. They have represented Tollcross so well.

We are all excited to come home to our families now and tell you all about it!
