New Active Schools Programme
P3 Bake Sale
Friday 30th January
Dining Hall – 11.20 – 12.20
P3 are having a bake sale to help us raise school funds. If you are able to to do some home baking with your children or hand something in to contribute to the bake sale it would be greatly appreciated.
All Parents and carers are welcome.

Bilingualism Matters-Invitation to a Cluster Event for all Parents and Carers
JGPS is excited to be hosting Antonella Sorace (University of Edinburgh/Bilingualism matters) for a talk on the benefits and challenges of bilingualism. The talk is going to take place on Thursday 22nd of January, at 6:30pm, and will discuss:
Myths and facts about child bilingualism: what every parent should know
Tollcross Primary Parent Council AGM
Our Tollcross Primary Parent Council AGM will be held on Monday 26th January at 6.15pm in the school. All parents and carers are warmly invited to attend.
A creche will be available.

Rehearsals for JGHS Christmas Concert
Free Swimming Sessions
Free swimming will be provided for Primary School Children during public swimming times from Saturday 20 December until Monday 5 January 2015 at all Edinburgh Leisure swimming pools as follows:
- Ainslie Park Leisure Centre
- Drumbrae Leisure Centre
- Gracemount Leisure Centre
- Dalry Swim Centre
- Glenogle Swim Centre
- Leith Victoria Swim Centre
- Royal Commonwealth Pool
- Portobello Swim Centre
- Warrender Swim Centre
Please refer to the Edinburgh Leisure website for public swimming times –http://www.edinburghleisure.co.uk
Free swimming will also be provided for Primary School Children from 12.00-3.00pm from Saturday 20 December until Monday 5 January 2015 at WHEC.
JGHS Christmas Concert Arrangements
P7 choirs will be seated in the upper circle during the first half of the concert and will be brought to the stage during the interval. Primary choirs must meet in dressing room 1 (beside the backstage door) at 6.45pm where members of JGHS staff will take a register and take them to be seated. Please remind pupils not to bring in any valuables.
Parents can pick pupils up at the backstage door after the concert – this should be about 9.30pm. Can all pupils please remember to bring a Santa Hat/Antlers for the concert finale. 🎄
