The link below contains advice from Edinburgh City Council about supporting your child with their learning at home. A copy has also been sent to all families via email.
Thank you to everyone who has shared, Tweeted and connected with us over the last two weeks. We are all adjusting to new and different ways of working, learning and living.
A big thank you to our wonderful Tollcross staff for providing online learning and support for our families and to all of our families who have engaged with the online learning activities at home
We will welcome everyone back to online learning on Tuesday 21/4/20.
This is the last in our Building resilience unit 3 Respect yourself. After Easter we will have our reflection and sharing and then we will kick off unit 4.
Below are the activities: a whole school activity, early level activity, first level activity, second level activity. Feel free to give more than one a go. They are perfect activities to keep you occupied over the last days before the Easter break or during the Easter break, or when you come back after Easter. We are going to start with a dance.
The intended learning is:
I know the things that make me feel happy and calm and I know that exercise is important to keep me healthy.
key message is: I treat myself with respect.
I hope you enjoy the tasks and share your learning on twitter @TollcrossP. or email admin@tollcross.edin.sch.uk
Good Morning Tollcross families. It has been lovely to see all of the learning being shared on our blog and on Twitter. I have really enjoyed sharing your day.
What are you reading ?
Big Share Reading Challenge If you are enjoying a book then please share it with us on Twitter @TollcrossP and we will like, share and post your favourite books. This will help us to share recommendations and discover new books to read. Some of our staff will post what they are reading too so everyone will get some new reading recommendations. I am looking forward to discovering some new books to read and share 📚 Take care and keep safe 🖐🏻🧼
Getting this one out to you early so you can hopefully do it today. If not save it for tomorrow morning! You can make this one very easy or very hard depending on the size of your cereal!
Thank you to everyone for sharing your learning with us, commenting, emailing, liking, Tweeting and blogging. We have really enjoyed sharing your day.
A big thank you to our teaching staff for their dedication to providing exciting opportunities and activities for online learning for all our children and their families.
Many of our staff have volunteered to support our learners who will be attending the Hub School at Tynecastle High school. We are working as a team to support the children whose parents and carers are key workers. If a member of staff is on the volunteering rota another teacher will post the learning on their class blog. We will continue to support all of our children learning at home.
Thank you to everyone for all their kind messages and comments this week. We are in different locations at the moment but we are still Tollcross Primary School.
Building Resilience learning activities will be posted on a Thursday for you to work on through the week. They will be posted in whole school activities, early level activities, first level activities and second level activities. Video links to songs, stories and dances will also be posted. It would be great to see what you are up to with the learning. You can reply to the blog post, tweet @TollcrossP email admin@tollcross.edin.sch.uk (with building resilience or Ms Anderson as the subject). We are really looking forward to seeing your great ideas.
