P6/7 gave a stunning performance of their Scottish Play today at our school assembly. Pupils worked collaboratively to created the play and performed to a packed auditorium. There were elements of tragedy, suspense and comedy. We all enjoyed it very much, especially the battle scene. Thank you P6/7, The Oscars await you in the future !

Tollcross Competition Winners
As part of Internet Safety Day pupils were asked to design a poster to inform pupils in our school about safe use of mobile phones. India and Eve were the overall winners, both posters were bright, colourful and informative.

Exciting new PE Project at Tollcross
We have been successful in our application for funding from Education Scotland. The funding will enable us to develop a key project using technologies to develop and enhance core skills in PE. This will involve setting up an outdoor PE resource to be used by pupils, local families and local businesses with the aim of encouraging a more active lifestyle while focusing on developing core skills in PE. This is a very exciting project and we will keep you updated with our progress.
Technologies
P6/7 have been studying “Old Edinburgh”. Mrs Bailey and Miss Chadwick took pupils on a guided tour of the Royal Mile and they looked at the features of different buildings. They then designed and created their own buildings as part of the class Technologies project.
A Braw Assembly at Tollcross
We had a real treat at our school assembly today ! Primary 4/5 sang a braw song in Scots and we listened to poetry recitals from all the winners of our Scots Poetry Commpetition. Well done to everyone who took part, enjoy your neeps and haggis on Burn’s night.
