Important Information

Message from Lynn Brand  headteacher and NHS Lothian

We are aware of a person in the school who has tested positive for COVID-19. We understand that this is a worrying time but would like to reassure you that we are working closely with NHS Lothian Health Protection Team and following all national guidance.

A number of people are currently being contacted because they may have been in close and sustained contact with the case and will need to self isolate. They will be given appropriate guidance and advice.

An update via Parent Call will be sent to you as soon as the tracking and tracing process is complete.

If you are not contacted directly to tell you your child is a close contact, then your child should attend school as normal after the October holiday.

Enhanced cleaning and infection control measures are in place in line with national guidance. The school is safe and remains open.

If you have any concerns in the meantime, or if you need to book a COVID-19 test because your child has developed symptoms (high temperature, a new continuous cough and/or a loss or change in sense of smell or taste) please visit the NHS Inform website www.nhsinform.scot or for non-clinical advice call 0800 028 2816.

Please note that a test should only be booked if you or your child has these specifics symptoms.

Remember to stay at home if anyone in the household has symptoms of COVID-19.

Best wishes,

Lynn Brand

Building Resilience 🌈💪🧠

Thank you so much for all your hard work throughout the year! These have been challenging times and I’m sure you have experience ups and downs but you are doing it, that is an amazing example of resilience. 🙂

We have learned a lot of key messages this year in our Building Resilience programme and we certainly have had a lot of fun, games, songs and dancing along the way. Below is the key learning that we have covered this year. Remember the messages when you are going through the ups and downs of life, because you are amazing ! 🤩

We are all very proud of your effort and we wanted to say thank you and well done!

We have one more activity for you, below is a little exercise for you to think about how you are feeling about coming back to school. You can use the image below or create your own, answering the same questions. Send it to your teacher when you are done. ✏️😁

Have a great day.

Miss Anderson 🦄

Good Morning

Good Morning, hope everyone had a lovely weekend and managed to spent some time outside in the Scottish sunshine. As we move into Phase One of easing the lockdown restrictions some of you may have arranged to see family and friends (from 2m and outside). I hope you enjoyed spending some time with your loved ones if you were able to do so.

I will be sending an update to all our families this morning with some information about reopening our school in August.

Hope everyone is well and managing to stay motivated and connected. Have a look at the Action for Happiness Calendar for the month of June, lots of good ideas for supporting emotional wellbeing.
