The Eco Committee had a visitor who came to assess Tollcross for a Eco flag renewal.  The committee were really enthusiastic and knowledgable.  They gave a tour of the school and playground and explained the hard work we do to be Eco Friendly at Tollcross.

We are very proud of being successful with the flag renewal and have received a certificate that will be framed and diplayed on the Eco board.  Our new flag will arrive soon.

Thanks to the whole school for always putting so much effort into Eco activities, this is a brilliant achievement!

A few members of our Eco committee went along to the Great Scottish Grow Off today to have a look at all the displays including our own.  We did really well and the ‘Terrific Tollcross Tea Party’ was awarded silver!  Fantastic effort everyone, thank you!

Tollcross Primary is joining thousands of schools to take part in the Switch-Off Fortnight Campaign. This is an excellent way to teach our pupils about energy issues and the importance of using energy efficiently. It is deliberately timed for the start of the darker and colder months when we start to use more heating and lighting. As part of our Switch-Off Fortnight each class will have two Switch-Off Monitors to help raise awareness of how we use energy at school. Support our school Switch-Off Campaign by wearing something bright to school on Friday (22/11/13).
