We had a great time listening to Cathy’s stories and sharing her passion for mysteries. We are looking forward to seeing the film of her novel , Another Me, many of our pupils purchased the novel at our School Book Fair. Thanks to Cathy for all her enthusiasm, energy and ideas to get us writing our own stories.
Make Your Face Funny For Money
Please help us raise money for Comic Relief by making your face funny for money. All money raised in UK schools will be matched by the Uk government up to £10m. Please make your face funny on Friday 13th March and bring a donation for Comic Relief.
Tollcross Primary Hosts Spanish Visitors
Tollcross Primary hosted a workshop event yesterday as part of our involvement in a Comenius Project with schools in Madrid. The workshop provided opportunities to share good practice and learn from each other. 
Lessons in Spanish at Tollcross
Our P7 and P5 classes worked with Miriam Pastor from our partner school in Madrid. Pupils had to follow instructions in Spanish and create a leaflet about places to visit in Madrid.

GLOWWORM BOOK SALE
Glowworm books will be in school on Wednesday March 11th and Thursday March 12th.
All children, including the Nurseries, will have an opportunity to visit the book sale during the school day with their class.The sale will also be open during our Parents’ Days to give parents an opportunity to visit the sale with their own children.
Scottish author Cathy Macphail will be in school on Wednesday 11th to talk to our older children about her inspiration for writing books. Copies of her books will be available to buy.
Glowworm Books support us each year by providing a sale of quality children’s books. Any profit made from sales helps us to buy extra books for school.

Free swimming will be provided for Primary School Children during public swimming times from Saturday 14th February until Sunday 22 February at all Edinburgh Leisure swimming pools as follows:
