Hola Madrid
A big thank you to the staff and pupils at Colegio Joaquin Blume in Madrid for the wonderful welcome we received when we visited the school last week. It was very interesting to find out how bilingual education is developed at Joaquin Blume and to speak with the staff and pupils. We were really impressed by the children’s skills in English and enjoyed visiting classes. We are looking forward to May when the Spanish teachers will visit Tollcross. Hasta Luego !
Congratulations to Nukso

A Wonderful Assembly from Primary 3
Religious Observance at Tollcross Primary
Pupils will attend Assembly each week. The focus of these varies across the year. Each year, every class organises an Assembly for all pupils, staff and their parents. We also have Assemblies which tell the children about Religious Festivals from many world religions, including Christianity. This session these Assemblies include, amongst many other festivals;
24 October Harvest
12 December Advent
19 December Nativity
9 January Epiphany
6 March Lent
24 April Easter
Parents are free to withdraw their child from all or any of these Assemblies. Please note however, they are not worship and will not include prayers.
Active Schools at Tollcross Primary
Thank you to Jonathan and Lesley Anne for coming along to our school assembly on Thursday to talk to us about all the exciting activities available this term. Booking forms have gone out in school bags and pupils are advised to book as soon as possible to secure a place. Also thanks to Emily who came along to show us some cool stuff you can knit and to talk about the knitting club she will be running. It was great to see the dance demonstration from the Street Dance Club… watch out Diversity !
