Thank you to everyone who came along to our school Christmas Fair on Saturtday. You helped us to raise £1300 for school funds. All of the money raised will help to pay for school trips and outings throughout the year. Thank you !

Tollcross Christmas Fair
We are set up and ready for our school Christmas Fair tomorrow. Please come along and support this event, doors open at 10 am. Be there early to grab a Christmas bargain !
French Visitors
This week we have had three teachers from France visiting us to learn more about Active Learning. It has been very interesting for staff to chat together about the two different Education systems and what we can learn from each other. Our visitors enjoyed their visit and commented on the good behaviour of our children. Once they return to France they are going to help us organise pen pals for our senior pupils who are learning French.
Tollcross Primary School Choir
Our choir have been invited to sing at the Tollcross Christmas Lights Switch On. The event will take place near the Tollcross Clock on Tuesday 3rd December at 5.45 pm. Please come along and enjoy the singing. Watch the video below for a preview of our wonderful choir…
Tollcross Primary Wins Award for INNOVATING, CREATING, INSPIRING
The 2013 Children and Families Achievement Awards were held this evening at the Assembly Rooms on George Street. This sparkling ceremony was attended by children, young people and adults from Children and Families and hosted by Councillor Paul Godzik and Grant Lachlan. Tollcross Primary won a highly commended award in the INNOVATING, CREATING, INSPIRING category for our Outdoor PE Project at the Union Canal. Ms Brand, Miss Chadwick, Mr Devine, Yusef, Michal and Macha were there to collect the award. Well Done to everyone involved !
Parent Council Meeting
There will be a Parent Council Meeting on Thursday 28th November at 6.15pm in Mrs Brown’s Room. All parents are welcome.
The Children and Families Achievement Awards 2013
Our outdoor PE project has been nominated for a Children and Families Achievement Award. Pupils and staff will attend the event at the Assembly Rooms in George Street tomorrow. Fingers crossed…we will let you know if we win anything and post it on our blog. Good luck Tollcross !
Tollcross Pupils Decorate the Christmas Tree at Point Hotel
Our pupils had a great time decorating the Christmas tree at the Point Hotel. All of our pupils took part in a competition to design a decoration for the tree with prizes for the winners. Pop along to see the tree and the super decorations after our school Christmas Fair on Saturday. Thank you to the staff at the Point Hotel who made our pupils feel so welcome and to the member of staff who took time to have a conversation with Pablo in Spanish. ¡gracias
Donations needed for our Christmas Fair
We still need donations for our Christmas Fair on Saturday. We need books, toys and gifts to sell on our stalls.
Please come along on Saturday 30th November from 10 am to 12 noon and join in the fun. All money raised will pay for trips and outings for pupils throughout the school year.
